Caring Together Warwickshire provides support for planned or urgent breaks for carers if you have an important event, appointment or have to leave your cared for unexpectedly.
The service is currently called the Carers Response Emergency Support Service (CRESS).
The service requires a minimum 24 hours notice.
Advisors at Caring Together Warwickshire can help you to plan for an emergency.
CRESS is not a substitute for respite or care packages; should ongoing or emergency support be needed for a cared for this should be managed in the normal way as part of support packages.
The CRESS service is for planned breaks for appointments, significant life events and for carer wellbeing over a short period of time, with planning to mitigate the need for future use. This planning will include exploring support via family and community networks and support planning for the cared for.
The service will provide planned and unexpected breaks covers with a minimum of 24 hours notice. Each carer has a maximum of 36 hours in a given 12-month period.
